Overview

We delivered a ground-mounted solar PV installation on a constrained site, making effective use of a stepped embankment and a redundant settling lagoon. The development generated renewable energy while allowing the remaining land to be retained for future site expansion.

The Challenge

The site required significant ground preparation before construction could begin. The embankments needed regrading and the redundant lagoon had to be infilled to create a stable platform for the solar installation and associated electrical infrastructure.

Our Solution

We worked closely with our geotechnical consultant to stabilise the site using approximately 150–180 truckloads of controlled fill material. This created a suitable platform for the solar installation and associated infrastructure..

The Approach

We delivered the project as a complete turnkey EPC solution, managing the full delivery of the solar PV installation including the extension of the existing high-voltage network to enable connection into the site infrastructure.
