Overview
We delivered the electrical infrastructure required to support the long-term transition to a zero-emission bus fleet. An off-site solution was used to reduce programme time and minimise disruption during installation.

The Challenge
The project required extensive groundworks and careful coordination before construction could begin. Ground conditions had to be verified prior to any excavation, while the installation of charger and battery foundations, together with the associated cabling, required detailed planning to minimise on-site activities and maintain programme.
Our Solution
We designed the HV and packaged LV switchroom compound to maximise the available space within the depot. The layout was carefully developed to accommodate the required electrical infrastructure and Tesla battery storage system within the restricted footprint.

The Approach
We delivered the full electrical and civil design, including testing and setting to work of the completed installation. Ground penetrating radar surveys were completed before excavation works commenced, with charger and battery unit bases installed and cabling completed ahead of equipment installation. Our off-site solution reduced on-site construction activities and supported a more efficient delivery programme.
