Overview
We completed major electrification works at Ocado's Park Royal site to support the installation of 95 EV chargers. As part of the project, we upgraded the incoming power supply and delivered two new substations to feed the charging infrastructure.

The Challenge
The works were carried out while the depot remained fully operational, requiring careful planning to maintain day-to-day activities. New cabling also had to be installed along cableways around the perimeter of the loading areas and external service yard.
Our Solution
We installed the primary containment and cable routes around the site perimeter, with dedicated drops provided to each vehicle charger. This approach kept the installation organised while minimising disruption to the operational areas.

The Approach
We adopted an off-site manufacturing approach, with steelwork supports fabricated and galvanised as H-frames before delivery to site. Packaged substations were also utilised to reduce on-site activities and minimise the requirement for electrical isolation shutdowns.
