Overview
The depot had previously operated a diesel and hydrogen fleet of buses; the requirement was to operate a mixture of hydrogen and the remaining buses to change to fully electric using Kempower distributed dc ultra-fast chargers.
The Challenge
The depot had limited available space, requiring an efficient layout that maximised the charging infrastructure within the existing site.
Our Solution
Our solution involved manufacturing the substation and plant deck off site, reducing on-site construction activities and improving the efficiency of the installation.
The Approach
We worked closely with the owner and operator throughout the project to ensure a coordinated and seamless delivery. Regular communication and collaboration allowed the works to be completed safely while meeting operational requirements.
